When it comes to golf, players have varying levels of experience and proficiency. Just like any sport it is difficult to get any good at it without practice. For casual golfing beginners, that can be challenging because in order to get better at your swing you need to hit the course or the driving range to work on technique and build good muscle memory. Your body is only half the equation.
Some golfers may tell you that if you have good technique, you can make even the ‘worst’ of clubs work. That might be true for an experienced golfer with good form. For a casual golfer and one who does not have the luxury of time to always work on my swing, I want to make sure the time that I do have on a course or driving range is spent having fun, getting decent contact and at the same time allowing me to get more familiar with my own set of clubs. I’m not saying that if I want to get good I can bypass the time and effort of practice. I’m just saying that beginner golfers may be working from a particular starting point so its fair that they want clubs that meet them in the middle.
No surprise that for beginners who are starting to get serious enough about golf to maybe upgrade their clubs, one of their first clubs to upgrade is the driver. A decent driver can set you up with a great position on certain holes and really do wonders for your score. And hey – who doesn’t like to hit them as far as you can at Top Golf?
